Eaux-de-vie de marc

‘Marc’ brandy is a distilled spirit made from the grape skins and seeds that remain after the pressing of the must that has served to make wine, cider or any other fruit-based fermented alcoholic drink. There are several types from various regions, but perhaps the most well-known in the marc brandy category are Italian grappa and French Marc de Bourgogne. Produced since at least the 15th century, it exists in aged and un-aged versions, all of which are bottled at a minimum strength of 37.5% ABV.
