BULLEIT Rye 45%
Rye Whiskey, United States / Kentucky, 70cl, Ref: 18781
Tom Bulleit bourbons have always been characterised by a high rye content. It was only a matter of time before Bulleit produced a rye whiskey. This new recipe, created in 2011, contains a high proportion of rye grain (95% compared to the standard 51%), giving it a complex, spicy character.
- Appearance : Topaz or medium amber.
- Nose : Biscuity aromas, spices (ranging from sage to Jamaican pepper), white grapes and dried apricots.
- Palate : The attack is soft, supported by sweet flavours of maple and oak.
- Overall : Persistent and silky with woody or resinous flavours and light notes of caramel with no bitterness. Elegant reappearance of dried fruit aromas.
- The brand
The brandIn 1987, Thomas E. Bulleit, Jr., fulfilled a lifelong dream of reviving an old family bourbon recipe by starting the Bulleit Distilling Company. Inspired by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit, a tavern keeper who made a high-rye whiskey between 1830-1860, Bulleit® Bourbon is distilled and aged in the family tradition. High rye content combined to Kentucky limestone-filtered water provides a foundation for the bourbon's character, while charred American oak barrels lend a smoky backbone.

produit conforme à mes attentes, un vrai RYE, avec son approche caractéristique et son lointain accent de bourbon .
