La Torpille is a bière de garde brune, created by the brewer, a former oenologist, with the aim of recalling the bouquet found on old Syrah from the Côtes Rôties. Brewed with cinnamon, cloves and plum compote, the result is a fine Belgian-style beer with a caramel-brown colour and a golden-brown head, with a round, spicy and fruity profile. As soon as you open the bottle, it's a little bomb of wheat, spices, caramel and ripe fruit that gradually reveals itself on the nose, before developing into a full-bodied, textured and intense beer. The finish, with its hints of smoke and spice, rounds off this brilliantly sharp and complex beer.
