All about making whisky
The Rio de Plata distillery, built in 1943 on the plains of the State of Jalisco, near Guadalajara, is one of the largest distilleries in Mexico. It is still owned by the Garcia family and continues to use artisan production methods. The agaves used for the production of the tequila come from the company’s fields located in the Highlands of the region, which gives it its characteristic sweetness. The distillery’s premium range, Reserva del Señor, regularly wins prizes at competitions. A genuine tequila for tasting, specially created by Don Manuel, each batch is the reflection of more than a century of tradition.
