BENRIACH 16 YEAR OLD 43%
Single Malt Whisky, Scotland / Speyside, 70cl, Ref: 13204
Introduced to the range in 2004, this 16 year old was warmly welcomed by all the great specialists: a superb Speyside single malt in all its splendour.
Known for its unpeated malts (90% of its production) and aged in ex-bourbon casks, Benriach offers a wide range of whiskies (8-30 years) that perfectly express the fruitiness and delicate nature typical of single malts from Speyside.

- Appearance : old gold.
- Nose : deep, with honey, hazelnut, marzipan, vanilla and malt. Very Speyside!
- Palate : silky, it returns to honey and malty notes on the nose, enriching them with spice and fruit.
- Overall : long, with smoke and vanilla.
- The brand
Rather unjustly, Benriach was, until just a few years ago, relatively unknown, but it hasn’t ceased to make up for lost time. Indeed, this distillery has, for many decades, had a huge amount to offer and has proven this time and time again since being bought in 2004. Its warehouses are bursting with all sorts of sherry butts (Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, etc.), new American oak casks, ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads dating back to the 1960s, as well as casks previously used for wine, rum, madeira, port and even Rioja! This Speyside single malt is entirely worthy of the interest it has garnered from master blenders since its creation. Find out more

Belle découverte... Magnifique expression du Speyside... Et cette pointe de fumée de tourbe en finale, juste excellent.
