Description
Bayou XO Mardi Gras is a tribute to Cajun culture and the celebration of the beginning of Lent. This is a very important tradition in Louisiana, where this rum originated. The Bayou distillery is one of the most important in the United States, working only with local molasses and distilling its rums in small vintages and pot-stills.
This rum has been aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. Arranged according to the Solera method, the oldest of them are 6 years old. Some of the rums in the blend have been finished in sherry casks.
