Created for the 40th anniversary of Imperial, Barceló Imperial Premium Blend 40 Aniversario is blended from old Imperial reserves aged between 8 and 10 years in ex-Bourbon casks and has benefited from an additional 2 years of maturation in French oak casks containing Sauternes.
After this double ageing, the blend rests for a further 10 years in new French oak casks, giving the rum its distinctive organoleptic profile.
