C’est un territoire auquel on ne pense pas spontanément lorsque l’on parle de rhum et pourtant, l’Australie produit du rhum depuis plus de 130 ans ! Située sur les rives de l’Albert river, la « Beenleigh Rum distillery » a obtenu sa licence de distillation en 1884. Elle utilise de la mélasse provenant de cannes à sucre cultivées et broyées dans la région et, bien que s’étant modernisée depuis, elle a conservé ses pot stills en cuivre. Un distillat obtenu par double distillation et élevé dans des ex-fûts de Bourbon a retenu l’attention de la boutique & Fine Spirits. Passionnée de rhum, l’équipe a choisi un single cask atypique pour venir enrichir la gamme 6, Carrefour de l’Odéon.
