ARDMORE 22 ans 2000 Edition No.69 Whisky Sponge D.D.

A single sherry butt of 2000 Ardmore. Originally this whisky was matured in hogsheads before transfer to a 1st fill sherry butt for the final 2.5 years of its maturation. We bottled it at natural cask strength. Good length with threads of peat smoke, gentle tar, pepper and chocolate notes.

Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other fine spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is the founder. His philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side can be seen both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings with this sponge character in a wide variety of styles.
These bottlings, mostly single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice and Equilibrium. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge and WineSponge.
