Description
Tasting notes
Nose : heady, firm. Cuts straight to the chase: malted barley, heather honey, candied fruit (peach, apricot), exotic fruits (kiwi, kaffir lime). Remarkably full-bodied throughout. Coconut and vanilla ice-cream gradually coat the olfactory palette in an opaline layer.
Palate : both delicate and exuberant. Exotic fruit (mango, passion fruit) suddenly floods the palate. After this strong entry, that is not really predicted by the nose, it shows stunning saline balance. Lactic, it lingers with notes of milk chocolate, fresh walnut and vanilla. A delightful fruity bitterness (peach skin) gradually coats the taste buds.
Overall : long, concentrated. The spicy register takes hold. This is expressed with notes of black pepper, fresh ginger and cloves. It barely softens before offering delicious fresh fruit (pineapple, ripe apple). The retronasal olfaction is generous (calisson almond sugar sweets) and the empty glass earthy and rustic (dandelions, daisies).
