All about making whisky
The first signs of vine culture in Peru can be traced back to 1615. Situated 200 kilometres south of Lima, the Hacienda 1615 vineyard has the best terroirs in the Pisco region. Very grapey, this version is made from partially fermented green Torontel grapes; although it is quite sweet due to the sugars in the wine, it is also very fresh and lively. Brimming with ripe fruit, the initial nose is reminiscent of a high-quality grappa. The palate is particularly mellow, almost creamy. Candied lemons give it plenty of vitality. The bottom of the glass evokes grapes dried on the vine.
