Tasting note

  • Appearance : miel doré à reflets orangés.
  • Nose : fin, moelleux. Une fine note végétale s'ouvre sur la noisette, l'amande et le chocolat. Le maïs s'exprime pleinement. Il évolue sur les fruits mûrs (pêche, prune) et les épices (muscade, canelle). Possède beaucoup de densité et de fraicheur. Des notes forestières de champignons et de sous-bois ponctuent la palette aromatique.
  • Palate : fraiche, ample. Elle révèle d'onctueuses notes de kiwi très mûr soutenues par une fine amertume (pamplemousse rose). La vanille tapisse le palais, elle est agrémentée d'épices (anis étoilé, cumin). Elle se développe sur la bergamote et le chocolat noir.
  • Overall : longue, soyeuse. Dans un premier temps, balsamique avec ses notes de menthol et de chêne, elle évolue sur la marmelade d'orange, la mandarine juteuse et le potiron. Une trame soyeuse est présente de bout en bout ce qui lui procure beaucoup d'élégance.

Inspired by the illicit distilleries of the late 19th and early 20th century, Tuthilltown produces various types of rye and bourbon whiskeys aged in casks holding only 9-60 litres, thus speeding up the maturation process and enabling it to obtain whiskeys similar to those lost during Prohibition. A special favourite for connoisseurs, its whiskeys offer completely unique sensations, perfectly combining the grains with the oak.
