Eyguebelle Liqueur Jaune –elixir du Coiron is a combination of over fifty separately infused and macerated plants softened with a touch of honey. The mix is then matured for 5 years in old cognac and Armagnac oak casks. The recipe and the name of this liqueur comes from the Deleuze distillery located in Villeneuve de Berg which was bought from Eyguebelle monks back in 1930.
Tasting tips: Unlike wine tastings, herbal liqueurs should be tasted breathing out. Carbone dioxide soothes taste buds and helps to develop aromatics notes.
