Made from blue agave aged around 10 years and distilled in column stills, the Don Fulano Blanco tequila is left to rest in stainless steel vats for 60 days. This is a fruity tequila characterised by prune juice, Williams pear, amaretto, rancio and walnut.

Style: Mellow and fruity. Nose: Williams pear juice, amaretto. Pepper. Palate: Mint leaf, a hint of rancio and walnut. Finish: Lingers on a bed of mint, peppery.

Tasting note

  • Appearance : colourless.
  • Nose : pleasant, notably mellow. Very fruity, prune and Williams pear juice. Almond liqueur, amaretto. Mint. The pepper here is evanescent.
  • Palate : mellow, very pleasant. Mint leaf before returning to very ripe fruits. A hint of rancio and walnut. Slight bitterness.
  • Overall : lingers on a bed of mint, returns to pepper before quickly freeing up the palate.

The brand

The agaves used to produce Don Fulano Tequila are selected on a plant-by-plant basis as ripeness can vary greatly from one plant to the next. Fermentation is achieved through the natural yeasts already present in the agaves, the mash is distilled in copper and stainless steel stills in a distillery that has specialised in the production of tequila for four generations. The different versions are aged in first and second-fill French oak casks for a period of up to five years. They are hand-bottled in bottles produced locally by artisan craftsmen.
