FOUR ROSES

Four Roses, the emblematic brand for bourbon, was first trademarked in 1888. Produced at the Frankfort Distilling Co distillery, Four Roses was bought in 1943 by the Seagram group. As popular in Japan and Europe as it is in the United States, the Seagram group decided to release a “blended” version for the American market and concentrate on Europe and Japan for the Straight Bourbon. At the end of 2001, Diageo, now the owner of the brand, sold it on to the Japanese group Kirin, its Japanese distributor.
