Cointreau liqueur was created in Angers in 1849. The recipe has been kept secret over the generations for more than 150 years and offers a perfect blend of carefully selected sweet and bitter orange peel (citrus bigaradia). It is not unlike the Triple Sec liqueur. Cointreau’s power and freshness, accompanied by notes of orange peel, have inspired the greatest mixologists to create numerous cocktails, popular in France and all over the world.
