Already passionate about Scotch whisky, the idea of an Italian whisky inspired the Ebensperger family to launch their own grain-based eau de vie. High in the Alps, Puni benefits from an environment suited to the growing of cereal crops and cask ageing. Beyond the distillery’s highly unusual cubic shape, Puni stands out for its carefully judged blend of three malted grains that are double distilled: a barley base whose aromatic range is enriched with the addition of locally grown rye and wheat.
