Jägermeister literally translated as « Hunter Master » is a liqueur made from 56 medicinal plants at strength of 35% ABV. First elaborated by Curt Mast in 1934, the Jägermeister recipe and its ingredients are kept a secret until now. It started to be commercialized in 1935 as an herbal remedy easing cough and digestion. In 1973 Jägermeister associate with German football, especially Eintracht Braunschweig by becoming the first brand placing their logo on the team’s Jerseys. Having tried to diversify multiple times, the brand has decided to refocus on its core activity – the production of Jägermeister, now distributed in over 100 countries.
