Luigi Barile has based his philosophy of life on the word ‘quality’. From a very modest family, he quickly understood the necessity of knowing how to take risks in life and always dong one’s best. This is perfectly summarised in his grappa, distilled in two bain marie stills, directly after the pressing of the grapes. After resting for a year or two in stainless steel vats, it is the ageing in barrels that makes Barile grappa truly extraordinary. The distillate is stored in the distillery’s cellars in casks that have contained whiskey or rum from the Antilles, with the necessary humidity for it to develop its aromas, and carefully personally selected by Luigi Barile.
